The Living Room
As you walk in the living room from the entryway,
this is what you will see (with your furniture
of course!).
Notice the hard wood floor (made of oak), the modern ceiling fan (equiped
with a remote), as well as
the unusually high, flat and colored ceiling. Shall we mention the
huge bay windows?
In the winter, they will heat the place up; in the summer, put the shades
down (they are staying anyway) and
don't worry, the huge tree in the backyard will provide lots of shade over
the house.
View from the "hallway" number 2.
Notice the newly tiled fireplace with mantel along with the built in shelf.
Another angle of the living room allows a partial view of the second "hallway".
Another living room shot. View from the dining room. You can see the entryway
and another
part of the second "hallway" that leads to the master's suite.
Notice the crown moulding all around the living room. This room can be
dressed up richly or stay
very modern looking with its clean lines.
The Mackay's
favorite living room feature
"The living room is our favorite room. It's very
spacious, there is a lot of natural light coming in, and its plan is very
open to other rooms. It looks even more so because of the high ceiling.
This colored, high and flat ceiling has been complimented to us so many
times, and everyone loves our hard wood floors too. It used to be carpet
and we are happy we changed it to wood in 2004. It's so easy to keep clean.
And how about that fireplace? It's great when it gets cold,
or even just for atmosphere."
The Kitchen and Dining Room
As you walk in the dining room from the living room, here is the
view you get. There is room to accomodate a
much bigger dining table than that by the way.
Notice the new ceiling lamp (with adjustable brightness).
From the dining room, you can access the kitchen and this is what is on
your right.
You can see the dishwasher and part of the cabinets.
From the dining room again. Left part of the kitchen with oven, microwave
and refrigerator that will
remain in the house for the tenants. You can see more cabinets. There are
some above the fridge as well.
Once in the kitchen, this is the view you get on the dining room and its
big windows. Lots of morning and
afternoon light for sure. This house is also very bright. Notice the nice
tile put in in 2004. The same than in
the entryway. Notice how a bigger table would fit (and look much better
than the small one in place).
View from the dining room to the living room.
The Mackay's favorite
kitchen and dining room feature
"The refrigerator. I love stainless
steel! All appliances will be changed to stainless steel in a few years.
This kitchen feels warm despite the stainless steel. There is room for everyone
and everything and you don't feel trapped. Plenty of windows
and tiles are so much better than the old linoleum taken
off in 2004."
The Master's Bedroom Suite
As you enter the master's bedroom suite, this
is what you see.
The bedroom features beige carpet, a ceiling fan, and a huge window
located. The way it is designed around the
window, a day bed would be ideal. If the colors do not fit, you are welcome
to paint the room or any other room for that matter
but please paint everything back to white before the end of your lease.
Different angle showing where the suite can
be extended. There is a lot of space in between the queen bed and the TV
unit.
You could easily puta bigger unit, shelves a plant, floor lamp and big
comfy chair or mini-couch in the corner
instead of the big 9 feet tall closet.
Notice the door to the "hallway" number 2 along with the door leading to
the walk-in closet.
This angle shows the way to the master's bathroom.
The bedroom as seen from the master's bathroom. It might look small but it's only because the furniture
is
impressively huge.
The Mackay's favorite master's bedroom suite
feature
"The bedroom is much bigger
than most we visited. It gives you lots of possibilities. Knowing we were
moving soon, we just tried to fill the space as much as we could instead
of creating a bedroom with a reading/TV area but this is obviously possible.
We still talk of getting a daybed for the window area or at least a long
bench to sit on. The walk-in closet is also a great feature. I wouldn't go
without it now."
The walk-in closet. Although we see half of it in the picture, you still
can see the storage solutions with shelves
and hanger sections for long evening dresses and shorters pieces.
The Master's Bathroom
As you walk in the bathroom, you can see sink,
cabinets, part of the bathtub and part of the big mirors.
Different picture of the same area taken once
inside the bathroom.
More cabinets can be seen, more mirors and the toilet.
Around the countertops is the full bathtub.
Notice that the floor has been tiled.
If you prefer to take a shower, the master's
bathroom has it all. Bathtub AND shower in the opposite corner.
In a hurry in the morning: Two people can easily fit in this large bathroom,
one can bathe and the other shower.
A window to let the steam out and let the late afternoon sun in is also
a nice feature of this bathroom.
Notice the almost empty wall on the right? You
could easy fit a glass case with towels and beauty products if you need
more storage.
The Mackay's favorite master's bathroom suite
feature
"Having both a shower and a bathtub in the same bathroom
is nice. Big enough to have two people get ready at the same time too since
there is so much counterspace and that many mirrors. The fact
that the bathtub is open and not speazed and walled in between two corners
make it as appealing as a spa. You want to soak in, light candles and relax."
As you get out of the Master's Suite, "Hallway" number 2 with its
built in shelves and cabinets leads to the living room.
The Guests/Kids Bathroom
Taken from the bathroom door. You of course cannot see the whole bathroom
but it gives an idea.
The shower/bathtub curtain is drawn but the shower and bathtub are scarcely
used and so still in
excellent and new condition too. The shower has rooms for plenty
of bottles and the cabinets can
hold a lot of stuff.
Shot taken from the shower.
Notice the tiled floor, the countertop space , space and large miror.
The Mackay's favorite guests/kids bathroom feature
"I like what I did with this
bathroom. It's very French. It gives it some cachet, yet does not overcrowd
it. Don't get me wrong, it looks smaller on pictures than in reality."
The Guests/Kids Bedroom Number One (currently
an office)
View from its entrance. This room, like all the bedroom have a beige
carpet and a ceiling fan.
Different angle. See the closet space, the large window with afternoon
sun.
If you exit from the room, it will lead you in the hallway number
1 which leads to the other bathroom and other bedroom.
The Guests/Kids Bedroom Number Two (currently
a guest bedroom)
Another available bedroom. Notice that alll bedrooms plus living
room have a ceiling fan. In the bedrooms
(except for the master's) just like in the living roomthe fans and lights
are equipped with a remote control.
You can also control the brightness (the on/off switch is on too)
of the light just like above the dining table.
A view on the closet and part of the big window. Plenty of space in
this carpeted room. The furniture is very big
and centralized, so it might look smaller than it is.
From the window to the other corner of the room.
When you exit the bedroom, you'll be in "hallway" number 1 and facing
the bathroom.
The famous backyard
The Mackay backyard in blooms late August ( picture showing only a
part of the backyard).
The lease comes with a TruGreen ChemLawn weed treatment 5 times a year.
You still have to mow it but at least, no weed will grown in between
the cuts.
No red ant mounds either since it was treated this Spring.
Afraid of little pests since you are moving in the South? Arrow Pest Control
will be visiting the Mackay house
on a quarterly basis.
Best of all? Its' included in the lease!
